Kanonicza building is located just two block from the main squre of Krakow city. The street is a collection of Baroque and Renaissance buildings and the building built in the first half of the sixteenth - century and until eighteenth - century served as a Canon residence. Presently, the palace house is the Faculty of Architecture of Tadeusz Kościuszko University.

Based on historical value and location, any additions can distort and affect the building not only aesthectically but also it affect the structure of the existing building. Therefore, it was necessary to place a light and reversible volume.

For this reason, the chosen material is metal and glass and the structure is located at the courtyard and divide existing area into three levels. This element create a useful space in the basement level, transforming to a lecture hall, and new opening to the courtyard.
